Someone left a comment on My last post which described what I like to do to men as "buttfucking." A perfect segue into My next topic: Strap-on play and Domination.

Allow Me to clarify: what I like is not simply fucking men in the ass, it is Dominating them using the anal training/humiliation/abuse scenario. Context is everything. Recently pro-Domme friend of Mine asked Me how strap-on play was Dominant for Me. My friend's questions made Me think about the issue all over again.

There are such a variety of clients that approach Me. Each one has a different idea about what a Dominatrix does, which is not surprising since women who work as "professional Dominatrixes" do so many different kinds of things. Some of them are very sexual in their sessions, often because they were formerly escorts who are branching out into the BDSM niche. (Hookers-with-whips, as they are sometimes called in frustration by Dommes) In My personal life, as opposed to My professional life, BDSM is often fully integrated with sexual play. I think it's perfectly valid to mix the two, and more power to the Domme who can be both sexual and Dominant with her clients even if they are complete strangers who She has only known for a matter of minutes. It seems that sincere power-exchange in that context, however, would be difficult to pull off.

The main issue here is the difference between BDSM and kinky sex. Kinky sex may have BDSM elements, (handcuffs, spankings, dildos, etc,) but BDSM is an experience far beyond "kinky sex." The client who calls Me asking to be tied up and spanked, and then given a blowjob, is definitely not going to find what he wants with Me. That’s kinky sex, not Domination.

An ex-boyfriend of Mine recently lamented that his new girlfriend couldn't Dominate him like I did. As a jumping-off point for weblog entries, I decided to try to give an anecdote about My experiences with or ideas about each genre within BDSM. Today’s theme, your favorite topic and Mine, is strap-on play.

Strap-on play part 1: How it all began...

Like so many other kinky people, My journey into the world of BDSM began when I read The Story of O as a teenager. For how many other people around the world has that book been a gateway into a life of decadent, debaucherous, satisfaction? Feminization is a world of it's own. There is such diversity within the gender-play theme. I'm sure other pro Dommes have different experiences. The above is just what I seem to attract. Could have a lot to do with the hot photo of Me strapping it on in the gallery.

I explained to Rachel that I think that the BDSM that goes on inside most people's minds seems to be very different from the images of it one sees in the media, or even at BDSM scene parties and clubs. The media sensationalizes and misrepresents BDSM, and what goes on at events are the things that lend themselves to events... Desires for cross-dressing and other fetishes that are more taboo for mainstream males seem to come out most often in private, one-on-one play.

Feminization combines two very powerful elements: sensual stimulation, (satin panties against cock, etc.) and symbolic submission. Many people have some kind of "trigger" that makes them feel submissive or humiliated, usually something that involves violating a social taboo, or taking on a persona that symbolizes a submissive role. Here I am, back at My weblog, after months of focusing on a spring visit to San Francisco and Portland, new photo-shoots, a big website update, two other BDSM-related projects in progress, and about half a dozen personal projects. Somehow in the midst of it all, I hope to have time to blog more frequently. I've been getting lots of email requests for it!

I found a new SF dungeon to play in when I am there, in addition to the fabulous space I enjoy in N. Oakland. I Love Chastity Slaves

I don't remember when I started having chastity-slave fantasies... I think it is one of many fetishes that was fed by reading BDSM fantasy stories on the internet. That is My preferred form of pornography, by the way. Wanna wrestle?

Yesterday night I got a most intriguing phone call from a submissive. He has a persistant fantasy about being taken shopping for women's clothing by a Dominant woman, and being forced to try things on and buy clothing and accessories. The fantasy is not unusual, but having the nerve to live it out is.

I love so many things about being a Domme, but one of the things I love most is the insight it gives Me into the human psyche and a broad range of deviant sexual needs. I find it reassuring to be reminded over and over again that there is much more to people than the very conventional image of themselves that they project to the world. People, at least the people I am lucky enough to know, (even though I am a Dominant, I do feel fortunate to have the trust and confidence of the submissives I play with!) are just swimming with unusual and creative sexual desires. They do wonders to counteract any stereotypes women might have of men as "having a one track mind" sexually, or just wanting to fuck, not needing psycological complexity in their sexuality, not being attentive to women, etc.

The man who called hoped that another woman could be there to see his humiliation. I immediately thought of a friend of Mine who would be perfect for the scene. She is an imaginitive, deviant girl -very beautiful, lots of attitude. I called her to ask her if she would like to go sissy-shopping with us.

It makes perfect sense to Me that sexuality would be as laden with paradoxes as life itself is.

Although this weblog is brand-spanking-new, I had two previously and loved each of them. They were journals for other parts of My life though, and this one is tailor made just for the parts of My life that pertain to professional Domination, My sex life, philosophies on Domination/submission, My personal experiences with it... and the usual blog-like musings on life, art, nature, and probably politics. Feels good to be settling into a new blog!

This morning I am sitting on the white wool shag-rug I call My office, answering the phone and email inquiries from submissives and drinking coffee. The maple tree outside My window is slowly dropping leaves. Although fall here is nothing like it was in the North East U.S. where I grew up, it is certainly more autumnal than California. (I recently relocated to Seattle from CA.) Fall is My favorite season. It never fails to fill me with a kind of sweet-sad nostalgia. For what, I do not know. For Me, the season has a harsh and feminine essence. I love to put My hair in loose braids in the fall, wear lipstick and large overcoats, and scuff about haughtily through leaves, engaging in heady conversation with friends and making cynical jokes. It is a good season for reminiscing with friends over a warming shot of whisky, and getting lost in telling stories about memories and people far away or no longer here.
